Director General's Message
It gives me immense pleasure to extend my felicitations to the Central Detective Training Institute (CDTI), Jaipur, on the launch of its official website. This initiative marks an important milestone in the Institute’s journey towards greater outreach, transparency, and dissemination of knowledge among law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders.
Established under the aegis of the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), CDTI Jaipur has steadily emerged as a premier training institution and is fast evolving into a Centre of Excellence in the field of New Age Crimes. The Institute has been making significant contributions to capacity building by conducting specialized programmes on contemporary and emerging challenges such as CBRN-related incidents, investigation of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) infringements, smuggling of antiques and art objects, cryptocurrency and Dark Web investigations, wildlife crimes, and other technology-driven offences.
The Institute has consistently endeavoured to integrate scientific methods of crime investigation with practical policing requirements. Alongside enhancing professional competencies, it has also focused on sensitizing trainees to important social issues that impact day-to-day policing, thereby fostering a holistic approach to law enforcement. The launch of this website will further strengthen the Institute’s ability to share knowledge resources, training opportunities, research initiatives, and best practices with police personnel across the country.
In line with the implementation of India’s new criminal laws, CDTI Jaipur has also been conducting specialized training programmes for police officers, judicial officers, and prosecutors on critical subjects such as cybercrime investigation, women’s safety, forensic and scientific aids to investigation, and other emerging areas of criminal justice administration. The Institute’s Training Needs Analysis (TNA)-based approach has enabled it to design and deliver advanced programmes for senior officers on themes including Internet Governance, Data Analytics and Predictive Policing, Technology in National Security, Drone Technology, and Digital Transformation in Policing.
I am confident that Team CDTI Jaipur will continue to innovate, refine its course content, and strengthen its role as a leading institution for professional excellence in policing. I am sure that this website will serve as an effective platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and capacity building.
I convey my best wishes to the Director, faculty members, and staff of CDTI Jaipur for their continued success and contribution towards building a professional, technology-enabled, and future-ready police force.
